Swedish economy is starting to show clearer signs of recovery and it can gain momentum next year, forecasts the major bank.
"For the Swedish part, the latest GDP outcome was surprisingly positive and also households' demand, which previously had been a drag, has turned upwards on a broad front. This has already occurred before the Swedish Central Bank's latest interest rate cut and the government's very expansive budget has taken effect in households' wallets", writes the major bank.
According to Nordea's mortgage interest rate forecast, the variable 3-month mortgage interest rate will remain stable for just over a year ahead. The two-year and five-year interest rates are expected to rise gradually next year. The major bank writes that mortgage interest rates may come down slightly in the short term but that the trend should be rising ahead.
