On Friday, Lindsey Vonn won the women's downhill race in the World Cup in St. Moritz. The 41-year-old followed that up with another podium finish on Saturday.

The alpine icon took her 83rd World Cup victory during Friday's competition, almost eight years since her last World Cup win.

With that victory, Lindsey Vonn, 41, became the oldest World Cup winner of all time.

On Saturday, the American followed up that success with another podium finish. Vonn came second in the downhill in a time of 1:30.74.

German-Swedish Emma Aicher, who finished fifth on Friday, won in 1:30.50. Sofia Goggia of Italy was third, five hundredths of a second behind Vonn in second place.

I'm really happy. I'm happy with how I rode today, and did the things I wanted to do better than yesterday, says Aicher, who was born in Sundsvall and whose mother is Swedish, but who has a German father and has represented Germany since 2020.

Vonn has now taken 140 podiums in the World Cup during her career, 83 of which are victories.
