There were relatively positive tones on Asia's leading stock exchanges at lunchtime, local time. This after the markets recovered from earlier declines in the morning, the day after Donald Trump was elected as the new President of the USA.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index had risen by 0.9 percent, while Shanghai's and Shenzhen's composite index were up 0.9 and 1 percent, respectively.
In Tokyo, the broad Topix index had risen by 1.2 percent, but the important Nikkei 225 was just below zero.
