Further individuals are receiving care after the listeria alarm at a luxury restaurant in Stockholm. A dozen people from Uppsala have sought care, in Örebro restaurant guests are in the hospital and in Kronoberg there are also two cases.

In Uppsala, patients with fever and stomach disease have been received, states Region Uppsala's infectious disease doctor for Aftonbladet.

There are also affected people in Örebro.

When we came to the emergency room, they said they had had another person seeking care after eating at the restaurant. My husband and I were admitted, says a woman who claims to have eaten at the restaurant, to Aftonbladet.

Region Kronoberg also confirms that two county residents have fallen ill, reports TV4.

On Wednesday, about 20 people were being treated at the hospital in Stockholm with suspected listeria infection. At least three have been affected by listeriosis, which can be fatal, mainly in risk groups.

According to SVT, the Stockholm Environmental Administration has received 80 reports of suspected food poisoning at the restaurant in question.

Letters have been sent to other guests who visited the restaurant around the relevant dates.

It is still unknown what is behind the poisoning. The guests who fell ill are said to have eaten a tasting menu with 14 dishes.

The restaurant is closed and hopes to be able to open again next week. According to the restaurant, it is about food poisoning "during an isolated period" 25-27 September.

"We take this very seriously and since our guests' well-being is our top priority, we have on our own initiative closed the restaurant until further notice and started an investigation to clarify where or how this could have occurred with us", they write on their website.
