More people view anti-Semitism as a problem in society, according to an EU study. Sweden, along with France and Italy, stands out.

In the Eurobarometer, EU citizens were asked about their perceptions of anti-Semitism.

The study shows, among other things, that a growing majority of Europeans believe that anti-Semitism is a problem in their countries. In France, the proportion is highest, 74 percent, followed by Sweden and Italy, where the proportion is 73 percent.

"It is serious that almost three out of four Swedes believe that anti-Semitism is a problem in Sweden today," said Minister for Gender Equality Nina Larsson (L) in a statement.

The study, commissioned by the European Commission, was conducted in November 2025 and is based on 26,453 interviews in the EU's 27 member states, of which 1,031 were in Sweden.
