I think it's unfortunate and wrong in time, says Mohamsson in Ekot's Saturday interview.
Both Mohamsson and Busch are ministers in Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson's (M) government.
In a post on Facebook at the beginning of August, Busch highlighted how Sweden will increase pressure on Hamas to release its Israeli hostages. One point was that the Christian Democrats want Sweden to move its embassy to Jerusalem and recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
I think our role should be just to focus on reducing humanitarian suffering and getting the hostages home, says Mohamsson in Ekot's interview.
I think it's quite bad if Sweden, instead of working together with other European countries to come up with realistic proposals that can get Israel to receive humanitarian support (in Gaza) and push Hamas to release the hostages, focuses on other issues.
The Christian Democrats have previously advocated for the embassy to be moved to Jerusalem. According to Ekot, in 2019, The Liberals' parliamentary group also supported a move "at an appropriate time".
