Speaker for eight years
Norlén was elected Speaker in 2018 and has served in the post for eight years so far.
"In a difficult parliamentary situation, his experience and broad support are important," writes Christian Democrats parliamentary group leader Camilla Brodin in a comment.
Liberal Party leader Simona Mohamsson writes on X that the party supports Norlén.
"My task is not to save Magdalena Andersson from her base," writes Mohamsson.
The Sweden Democrats also want to keep Norlén in office.
"Stability and experience will be required in the chamber in the parliamentary situation we find ourselves in," writes the party's group leader in the Riksdag, Linda Lindberg, in a comment to TT.
V chooses Norlén
The Left Party stated earlier this week that it is considering supporting Norlén, and on Sunday evening the party's statement on the matter came.
It may take a long time for Sweden to get a government. Then we believe we need stability and a fixed point in the Riksdag. That is why we will cast our vote for Andreas Norlén, says Ida Gabrielsson, deputy chairman of V, to SVT's Agenda.
The Social Democrats have not nominated a candidate yet. Neither have the Centre Party or the Green Party.
