It feels great. It can go either way after the World Championship, it feels like, high and low, so to come second today and start wrapping up the season in a good way, I'm satisfied with, says Dahlqvist to Viaplay.
She was the only Swedish athlete in Wednesday's final. Emma Ribom and Johanna Hagström were eliminated in the semifinal – Moa Ilar, Moa Lundgren and Märta Rosenberg in the quarterfinal.
Norwegian star Kristine Stavås Skistad surprisingly went out already in the semifinal.
Maja Dahlqvist has now five podium places this World Cup season, which concludes next weekend in Finnish Lahtis.
It feels like a very stable season for my part, I've been in the final every time, says she.
Anger fifth
On the men's side, Edvin Anger made it to the final, where he finished fifth.
I still give myself a chance today, it's still fun. It felt miserable all day, it hasn't felt completely hundred. My legs have been tired, still I'm fighting for it in the final, and stumble at the end, says Anger.
It went worse for the other Swedish men. Johan Häggström, George Ersson and Måns Skoglund did not advance from the qualification. Emil Danielsson and Anton Grahn were eliminated in the quarterfinal.
Norwegian Johannes Hösflot Kläbo unsurprisingly took home the victory. Jules Chappaz, France, and Harald Östberg Amundsen, Norway, shared second place with identical times.
Falls and pole breaks
Several Swedes were plagued by bad luck during the day.
Moa Ilar advanced from the qualification with a 19th place, but then it stopped in the quarterfinal. She fell in a curve and it quickly became clear that there would be no advancement to the semifinal.
During the men's qualification in the afternoon, Måns Skoglund fell in the same turn and did not advance to the quarterfinals.
Anton Grahn also had bad luck. In the quarterfinal, Grahn broke his pole and came last.
