A pattern Butler continues to follow.
When he missed the team's flight to Milwaukee, the club responded by immediately suspending him again. He will not play the upcoming matches against Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets.
Butler has made it clear that he wants to leave Miami and the club sees no point in paying large sums for a player who mostly causes problems.
"Through his actions and statements, he has shown that he no longer wants to be part of this team. Jimmy Butler and his representative have indicated that he wants to switch clubs. Therefore, we will listen to offers," wrote Miami Heat in a statement at the beginning of the year.
Butler, who is in the final regular season of his contract, would prefer to go to Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, or Golden State Warriors.
The deadline for transfers is February 6.
