The Coast Guard checked crew members on 89 merchant ships that called at Swedish ports between January 26 and February 15.
In one case, there was suspicion of intoxication.
"The result is positive. We can conclude that, on ships operating in Swedish ports, the sobriety limits specified by law are largely followed. This is an important prerequisite for safe shipping," said Stina Ternhagen of the Coast Guard's operational maritime surveillance section in a press release.
The one caught in the net was the captain of a tanker that called at Uddevalla. He accepted a penalty notice for drunkenness at sea and was fined 60 day-fines totaling 49,000 kronor.
