The association has been granted over five million kronor in contributions from various authorities over a period of two and a half years, among other things to supervise summer interns.
But when Malmö city began to examine the association last summer, unclearness emerged regarding how the money has been used. The suspicions include fabricated pay slips and that the same expenses have been reported to several authorities.
The city has now reported the association to the police for suspected fraud, embezzlement and forgery. They also demand back 300,000 kronor that the association received in compensation for hiring supervisors.
After the suspicions, the Heritage Fund, which has granted over 3.6 million kronor, has also stopped its payments.
Those responsible for the association reject all allegations of cheating.
