Eriksson got problems with an overuse injury in the genre rehearsal against Norway last week, and the Bayern Munich defender has not been able to train fully in recent days.

In her place, veteran Linda Sembrant takes a place in the backline alongside Nathalie Björn.

Rolfö is also missing

It was more or less clear from before that Sweden will also have to manage without Barcelona star Fridolina Rolfö, who injured her foot in the Nations League match against Denmark at the beginning of June. Not until yesterday did she do her first training with the national team since arriving in Switzerland.

Madelen Janogy therefore takes a place on the left in the attack instead of Rolfö, who is however included on the bench.

Another question has been who will start in the central midfield alongside the obvious Filippa Angeldahl. National team captain Peter Gerhardsson's choice falls on Julia Zigiotti Olme. Thus, Hanna Bennison, who started against Norway, will begin on the bench.

So the teams line up

Sweden's starting eleven (4–3–3): Jennifer Falk – Hanna Lundkvist, Nathalie Björn, Linda Sembrant, Jonna Andersson – Filippa Angeldahl, Kosovare Asllani, Julia Zigiotti Olme – Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, Stina Blackstenius, Madelen Janogy.

Substitutes: Tove Enblom (mv), Emma Holmgren (mv), Smilla Holmberg, Amanda Ilestedt, Amanda Nildén, Magdalena Eriksson, Hanna Bennison, Rebecka Blomqvist, Lina Hurtig, Sofia Jakobsson, Fridolina Rolfö, Ellen Wangerheim.

Denmark's starting eleven (3–4–3): Maja Bay Østergaard – Emma Færge, Stine Ballisager, Katrine Veje – Frederikke Thøgersen, Karen Holmgaard, Emma Snerle, Sara Holmgaard – Amalie Vangsgaard, Janni Thomsen, Pernille Harder.

Denmark–Sweden kicks off at 6 pm in Geneva.
