Magdalena Andersson Draws Largest Crowd at Almedalen 2025

Under this year's Almedals week in Visby, the Social Democrats' Magdalena Andersson attracted the most listeners during the party leader speeches.

In total, 12,200 people came and listened to the party leaders' speeches this week. It is at the same level as last year's audience figures of 12,950.

The Social Democrats' Magdalena Andersson, who spoke on Thursday, attracted approximately 3,700 listeners. A small increase from 2024. Later the same day, The Moderate Party was represented by Elisabeth Svantesson, with approximately 900 people in the audience – roughly the same number as came to listen to the Green party's spokesperson Amanda Lind.

The newly elected party leaders Anna-Karin Hatt (C) and Simona Mohamsson (L) both attracted relatively many people – 2,700 and 2,000 listeners, respectively.

The Sweden Democrats' Jimmie Åkesson got a slightly smaller audience compared to last year – 1,350 this year compared to 2,000 last year.

Almedalen week ended with speeches by the Left Party's Nooshi Dadgostar and the Christian Democrats' Ebba Busch, who had to settle for a slightly smaller audience – 600 and 650 spectators, respectively.
