In late September, Lytens' purchase of Northvolt's assets was approved by the authority Inspection of Strategic Products (ISP), which paved the way for the establishment.
According to Ekot, which refers to the trade union Sveriges ingenjörer, the company has now signed collective agreements and "slowly" started hiring.
Some staff they have already hired, but some larger parts we have not seen yet. It's about looking at how the right of precedence can be handled, says the union's chief negotiator Camilla Frankelius.
The agreement on the purchase was signed in August. The entire purchase process was previously estimated to be completed at the earliest in mid-October.
