When Åberg left the US earlier in July for the European and Scottish Open - the tournament before the British Open - his equipment was delayed. But it didn't stop there, he says during a practice round at Royal Birkdale on the tournament's official broadcast.
When I unpacked it, my driver was cracked in half. My “quad,” which I use to measure my strokes, was also completely cracked.
The reporter then jokingly asked if Åberg had no idea about his stroke lengths ahead of last weekend's major championship, to which the Swede replied with a laugh:
It's kind of just seeing what happens and taking it from there.
