The Consumer Council has, together with 16 organizations, submitted a complaint to the EU Commission and the international consumer organization Consumer Protection Authority Network (CPC).

The EU Court ruled that you have the right to bring ordinary hand luggage on the plane – as long as the hand luggage meets reasonable requirements for weight, size, and safety regulations.

"Hand luggage of a reasonable size should be able to expect to bring without any form of payment, it should be part of the ticket price," says Consumer Director Inger Lise Blyverket in a press release and demands an EU-wide investigation of the current airlines.

The seven airlines are Norwegian, EasyJet, Ryanair, Transavia, Volotea, Vueling, and Wizzair.
