The luxury restaurant Coco & Carmen, which was affected by a comprehensive listeria outbreak at the end of September, is postponing its planned opening once again, reports Expressen.

The restaurant was actually supposed to open this Friday.

"Our guests are the most important thing we have, and we do not want to rush an opening", the restaurant writes in a message to people who have booked a table according to Expressen.

Over 150 people have visited the hospital in the Stockholm region after the listeria outbreak. So far, only 15 people have been confirmed infected with listeria.

In recent days, only a few people have needed to visit the hospital - but the incubation period for the more serious symptoms of listeria infection, such as blood poisoning and meningitis, can be up to three weeks.

"Therefore, it is still important that restaurant visitors who have previously been contacted by Smittskydd Stockholm and experience symptoms such as fever, chills and headache visit the emergency department at the hospital for assessment", says Andreas Jacks, deputy infection control doctor in Region Stockholm in a press release.

It is still unclear exactly what caused the infection, the samples taken are now being analyzed by the environmental administration in the city of Stockholm.
