In 2023, Boston Bruins' Swedish goalkeeper Linus Ullmark was awarded the Vezina Trophy, the prize for the NHL's best goalkeeper, as the third Swede ever.
But now, after a less successful season, the Swede has been traded to Ottawa Senators.
He was traded for Finnish goalkeeper Joonas Korpisalo, centre Mark Kastelic, and Ottawa's 25th pick in the first round of this summer's draft.
During the past season, the 30-year-old has been benched, and has had to watch from the bench as his goalkeeper colleague Jeremy Swayman has impressed. Now, the organisation has chosen to get rid of Ullmark after three seasons, who instead moves to Canada and Ottawa.
However, his new club has had a much tougher time in recent years than Boston. The team finished 26th, and has not made it to the playoffs since the 2016/17 season.
The Swede will now compete with his former Modo colleague Anton Forsberg for the goalkeeper position.
