The airport was closed for five hours in the morning, which meant that 76 of 346 scheduled flights, including flights to and from Stockholm, were cancelled.

The parties to the conflict, the Norwegian Air Traffic Controllers' Association (NFF) and the air traffic controllers' employer Spekter, said they would meet at 8 a.m. on Monday, NTB reports. The negotiations broke down on Friday.

The strike has also affected other airports around Norway. At Bergen Airport, staff have had to set up camp beds for stranded passengers.

Almost all trains between Oslo and Bergen are sold out for the entire next week.
