The changes for S and L in the poll, which was conducted August 24-30, are statistically significant.

The survey shows that support for L rises 1.4 percentage points to 3.3 percent, the highest figure in Novus surveys since Simona Mohamsson took office as party leader and a step closer to the parliamentary threshold of 4 percent.

"Sweden needs a strong liberal party for schools and for continued blue-yellow cooperation. I will campaign and knock on doors all the way to the election to ensure that we make a good choice. Sweden does not need a left turn," says Mohamsson in a written comment to TT.

The S decline is measured at 4.3 percentage points down to 25.8 percent. The Left Party and the Centre Party receive 8.4 and 8.3 percent respectively, while the Green Party receives 7.8 percent.

Among the other Tidö parties, the Moderates receive 17.2 percent, the Christian Democrats 6.5 percent and the Sweden Democrats 20.7 percent.

A total of 2,984 people were interviewed in the survey.
