The two Palestinian politicians are representatives of Fatah's revolutionary council and were invited by the Left Party in October 2025. Dadgostar and party secretary Maria Forsberg attended the meeting. One of the men had previously said, among other things, that "martyrdom" is "a sacred value." The other man has also paid tribute to martyrs and has called a Palestinian man who killed three people in a terrorist attack in Tel Aviv a martyr.
Maria Forsberg confirms the meeting for GP.
"We, like other parties, often meet with people representing states and foreign organisations and parties without sharing all of their values or opinions and without investigating their background in detail," she writes.
The Left Party has repeatedly excluded candidates after revelations of anti-Semitism.
