The Centre Party would rather let voters go to the polls again than sit in a government with the Left Party, party leader Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist said in SVT's hearing on Tuesday.
V Party deputy leader Ida Gabrielsson says the announcement "creates chaos".

Eat the left shoe
V has a welcoming attitude towards C, which Gabrielsson has worked hard internally to win support for, and the parties can govern together, according to her.
If V receives strong support in the election, she does not believe that Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist will stick to her word.
Annie Lööf said she would eat her right shoe if she had to govern with Löfven. Then she governed with Löfven. If we get strong support, then I think Thand Ringqvist will get to put on her left shoe too.
At the same time, the Left Party has a party congress decision not to vote yes to, or allow, a government of which it is not itself a part. Ida Gabrielsson does not intend to back down from that decision and is herself prepared for new elections.
Of course, the consequence will be a special election, but that's up to Thand Ringqvist in that case. You can't bully yourself into all your politics like the Centre Party does and target red-green voters.
Baudin: Red lines fall
TT has contacted the Centre Party, which declined to comment on the move.
The Social Democrats' party secretary, Tobias Baudin, tells Expressen that Sweden has responsible parties and he does not seem worried, despite the ultimatums.
Once the government has fallen, I believe many of these red lines that exist, both among the right-wing parties but not least among the opposition, will fall, he says.
