LeBron James has reached another milestone in his career. When the 40-year-old basketball star scored a three-pointer early in the meeting with New Orleans, he became the first to reach the historic 50,000 points in the NBA's regular season and playoffs.
James, who made his league debut in 2003, is superior in this statistic – second-placed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar scored 44,149 points during his 20-year NBA career.
The Los Angeles crowd gave a standing ovation to James, who had more to offer before the match was over. In total, the legend scored 34 points when the Lakers won 136–115.
Superstar Luka Doncic, who was recently recruited to the Lakers, simultaneously scored 30 points, 15 assists, and eight rebounds. The Lakers have won 17 of their last 20 matches and are climbing to second place in the Western Conference.
