According to Haaretz, those killed worked for the pro-Iranian news service al-Mayadeen and the television channel al-Manar, both owned and operated by Hezbollah.
A source within the Lebanese military, however, told AFP that three journalists were killed. One of them was reportedly a cameraman. Lebanese President Michel Aoun called the incident a “flagrant violation” of international laws that protect journalists in war.
The attack targeted a car in Jezzine in southern Lebanon. The Israeli military confirmed the attack and accused one of those killed of being a member of Hezbollah's Radwan intelligence unit.
