The Left Party is now reporting the outgoing leader of The Liberals to the Riksdag's Constitutional Committee (KU).

This concerns holdings in the gaming company Betsson and the engineering companies Sandvik and Atlas Copco. Pehrson writes in a Facebook post that it is a holding from the time before he became a minister, which he reported in 2023 and 2025, but missed 2024.

Since all other people are supposed to follow the law and the rules that exist, so should Johan Pehrson, and he has not done so, says the Left Party's Riksdag member Karin Rågsjö to Ekot.

Pehrson claims that during his time as a minister, he did not buy or sell shares in the companies in question.

"But in 2024, an unfortunate mistake occurred, which means that the unchanged holdings are missing – for which I, of course, take full responsibility", he writes.

The ministers' stock market dealings have attracted attention lately, since Ekot revealed that both Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) and Labour Market Minister Mats Persson (L) have carried out questionable stock market dealings connected to political decisions they had proximity to.

Johan Pehrson announced on Monday that he will be stepping down as leader of The Liberals in June.
