In the first part of the SVT documentary "Hate", Joakim Lundell's mother appears, whom he has accused of psychological and physical abuse during childhood in a well-received autobiography, TV series and podcasts.
Documentary filmmaker Bo-Göran Bodin has reviewed Joakim Lundell's medical records from social services and child and adolescent psychiatry and claims that there is no evidence for Lundell's claims of abuse.
Lundell's lawyer Mark Safaryan accuses SVT of "terrible portrayals" of his client's childhood trauma.
The documentary's conclusions constitute defamation, according to the lawyer, who adds that he has been instructed by Lundell to bring those responsible to justice.
SVT must stop the documentary as soon as possible and at the latest within 24 hours, he tells Expressen.
Axel Arnö, publisher at SVT Dokumentär, tells TT that nothing will be changed in the publication.
"I deny that it constitutes defamation. The documentary will not be unpublished," he writes in a message.
"Hate" is broadcast in three parts.
