Jim Carrey to Receive Honorary César Award at 51st Gala in Paris

The American actor Jim Carrey is awarded an Honorary César at France's equivalent to the Oscars gala.

The honorary award will be presented at the 51st edition of the César Awards, which takes place on February 27 in Paris, writes Variety.

Among previous recipients of the award, which is presented by the French film academy, are Julia Roberts (2025), Christopher Nolan (2024), Cate Blanchett (2022), Robert Redford (2019) and George Clooney (2017).

Jim Carrey, born 1962, broke through in 1994 with the films ”The galloping detective”, ”The mask” and ”Dumb and dumber” and became the first actor to star in three box office successes in one and the same year.

Carrey then cemented the success with critically acclaimed performances in ”The Truman show”, ”Bruce the almighty”, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind” and ”Man on the moon", and has won two Golden Globe awards as best actor.
