This was stated by the Iranian Football Federation.
"Despite the schedule being submitted well in advance, we have once again encountered restrictions from the organizers," a press spokesperson told AFP.
Iran wanted to leave its World Cup camp in Mexico two days before Sunday's match against Belgium in Los Angeles, but that request was denied, according to the federation. After the World Cup opener against New Zealand, the team was forced to leave the United States the same evening, upsetting the players.
"The team will be allowed to travel the day before the game, but they are expected to leave on game night," Andrew Giuliani, head of the White House World Cup team, told CBS News in response to the criticism.
