Golfer Ingrid Lindblad is based on the LPGA Tour in the United States, but has now made an attempt to gain playing rights on the Ladies European Tour as well.

A tour card is a prerequisite for being selected for the European team in the Solheim Cup in the fall of 2026. But it didn't work out at all for the 25-year-old when the qualifiers were held in Morocco.

Lindblad, who won her first LPGA Tour event in Los Angeles in April, went through the four rounds at five under par. It was only enough to finish 45th. The top 20 in the qualifying event received a tour card.

The Swede must now try to find alternative ways to play her card. For example, by winning a European Tour event she is invited to or by taking home a major event on European soil.

The prestigious meeting with the USA in the Solheim Cup will be decided in the Netherlands in September 2026.
