4–0 against relegated Trelleborg gave AIK's women's football team three important points in the relegation battle. Beata Olsson showed the way to victory with two goals within five minutes at the end of the first half.
It was actually good goals, both were well-placed, says Olsson to Viaplay.
AIK's forward used her right foot for the 1–0 goal and her head when the lead was extended to 2–0. In the second half, Maja Johansson and substitute Felicia Saving ensured that the home team's goal tally was doubled at Skytteholms IP.
The victory means that second-to-last Örebro is in a difficult situation. The Närkings must take points away against Häcken when the second-to-last round is concluded on Monday, or risk being relegated from the top division.
AIK remains on a qualifying spot, now with 23 points and four ahead of Örebro.
The danger is simultaneously over for BP. The 2–1 victory away against Vittsjö – Alice Ahlberg scored the winning goal on a penalty – secured the contract.
Linköping, on the other hand, still has some work to do during its nightmare season. With 26 points, and two matches left to play, there is still a small risk that LFC will have to qualify.
