"In the first three months of this year, almost 700 civilians were reported killed in drone strikes," said UN humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher.
Wednesday marks four years since war broke out between Sudan's regular army and the paramilitary RSF forces. Tens of thousands of people have been killed, more than 11 million have been displaced, and large areas are suffering from famine.
The war is currently being fought primarily in Kordofan in the south and Darfur in the west. Drone attacks occur almost daily.
At least 245 children have been killed or injured in the war so far this year, according to UNICEF. Four out of five of them were killed in drone strikes.
Correction: An earlier version of the text contained an incorrect statement regarding the number of dead children.
