The 60-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanese Hezbollah came into effect on November 27, but since then, both sides have accused each other of breaking it.
Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem is now warning that they may step up their attacks without waiting for the agreement to expire.
We have said that we will enable Israel to prevent violations and fulfill the ceasefire agreement, and we will be patient.
But that does not mean that we will wait out the 60 days, nor does it mean that we will have patience for less than 60 days.
According to the ceasefire agreement, Israel's forces are to withdraw from southern Lebanon during a 60-day transition period, and Iran-backed Hezbollah is to withdraw northwards.
In a buffer zone, the UN's existing mission Unifil will hold positions together with Lebanon's regular but relatively weak army.
When the ceasefire was negotiated, Qassem said that Hezbollah would cooperate with the Lebanese military to ensure that the ceasefire is respected.
But he also threatened new attacks then.
