Trots a large Hammarby lead at the beginning of the match, it was Vittsjö who took the lead early in the first half through Elisabet Klinga.
I filled up, the ball popped up… and so it became a goal. It was nice, says Klinga in Viaplay.
It doesn't happen that often.
The visiting team managed to hold back in the first half, but Hammarby could equalize immediately in the second half.
Wangerheim two-goal scorer
Just over 30 seconds after kickoff, Ellen Wangerheim sent a finish that was directed via a Vittsjö defender into the goal behind Savannah Madden.
Wangerheim became a two-goal scorer when the 20-year-old could take down a pass and place 2–1 in the 66th minute.
The goals come before Peter Gerhardsson takes out this summer's EM-trupp on Wednesday.
Hoping for EM
It's clear that there are many thoughts and considerations. But I feel that I've done everything I can, and shown that I want to be part of the EM-troup and compete for a place in EM this summer. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed and waiting eagerly for the call on Wednesday, says Wangerheim to Viaplay.
With a quarter left, substitute Vilde Hasund added to 3–1.
Nellie Persson gave Vittsjö hope of points when she reduced to 2–3 in the 90th minute, but no equalizer came and the Hammarby victory was a fact.
It's unnecessary to let in two goals. I think we're superior in terms of play and that we should win the match with 5 or 6–0, it becomes unnecessarily exciting, says Wangerheim.
Top of the table
With the win, Hammarby is at the top of the damallsvenskan, a point ahead of second-placed Djurgården, which lost to MFF on Saturday.
Vittsjö is in tenth place.
The parallel match between IFK Norrköping–Piteå ended 2–1 to the visiting team, with goals from Josefin Johansson and Ásla Johannesen (Piteå) and Elin Rombing (Norrköping).
