The statement comes the day after a Palestinian teacher, who participated in the Oscar-winning documentary "No other land", was killed in an attack by Israeli settlers.
"France condemns this murder in the strongest possible terms, as well as all the intentional violent acts committed by extremist settlers against the Palestinian population, which have increased throughout the West Bank", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs writes on its website.
"No other land" was awarded an Oscar for best documentary at the gala on March 2. The film depicts residents on the West Bank trying to prevent the Israeli military from flattening their village.
Israel has occupied the West Bank since 1967 and more than 500,000 Israeli settlers have moved to the disputed area. During the war in Gaza, there has been an increase in attacks on Palestinians carried out by settlers, at the same time as the number of Palestinian attacks on Israelis has also risen.
