The number of sales of forest properties in the country decreased by 30 percent in the first half of this year compared with the average for the 2020s, according to Ludvig & Co Real Estate Agency.
Geopolitical concerns have made investors more cautious, says the real estate agency's market area manager Markus Helin.
At the same time, prices are rising, at least in southern Sweden, by 3.6 percent to 930 kronor per cubic metre of forest. However, prices in northern Sweden fell by 4.1 percent, to 329 kronor per cubic metre of forest.
For the market to take off, the predicted economic upswing needs to get underway, says Markus Helin.
There will probably be more sales this autumn, but it is difficult to predict the price level, he says.
