Five people have been killed in an Israeli air strike in southern Lebanon on Friday.
According to Lebanon's state news agency NNA, a vehicle was attacked in a village near the coastal town of Tyre, located about two miles from the border with Israel. A Lebanese security source tells AFP that, among other things, a rocket launcher was hit.
Israel claims that the target was a truck carrying weapons for the Shia militia Hezbollah, with which Israel reached a fragile ceasefire in late November after 13 months of war.
Despite this, violence has continued in the area, albeit on a much smaller scale than before the ceasefire. The Israeli military writes in a statement that the operation was carried out "in accordance with the ceasefire agreements".
