Billionaire Elon Musk has drawn attention to his many children. Now, Wall Street Journal has interviewed conservative influencer Ashley St Clair, who last autumn gave birth to a son with Elon Musk and has fought to make the paternity official.
St Clair was offered a sum of 15 million dollars and a monthly contribution of 100,000 dollars until the child turns 21 years old – provided that Musk's paternity was kept secret. The offer came from Jared Birchall, who handles Musk's family-related matters, and according to sources, negotiates agreements with the women expecting Musk's children.
But St Clair refused.
"I don't want my son to feel like a secret", she said in a recorded conversation with Birchall, according to Wall Street Journal.
She initiated a legal process regarding paternity. A paternity test – ordered by a court – showed that Musk is the father with 99.9999 percent probability.
"Legion level before the apocalypse"
According to St Clair, Musk calls his children a "legion". She tells Wall Street Journal that Musk during her pregnancy thought they needed to accelerate the birth of more common children.
In an SMS that Wall Street Journal has taken part of, he wrote: "To reach legion level before the apocalypse, we need to use surrogate mothers".
According to a source, Musk has an apartment complex in Austin, Texas, where Musk envisions women and the growing brood of children living together. He is said to have tried to get St Clair to spend time in Austin, according to an SMS.
Recruiting on X
St Clair says that the relationship with Musk began on his platform X. According to sources, Musk has contacted women via direct message with a request to have children. At least two women claim to have received the question from Musk, but declined.
At an investment conference in Saudi Arabia last year, Musk explained how urgent the issue of children is.
I think most countries should see birth rates as the single biggest problem they need to solve. If you don't create new people, there is no humanity, and then all politics in the world doesn't matter, he told the audience in a live video.
When the interviewer joked about Musk contributing to the issue, he agreed.
Yes, I do. I mean, you know, you have to go from words to action. So I have many children, and I encourage others to have many children, he said then.
