"We have had an aftershock in Garpenberg at a depth of just over 800 meters. As a result, we are moving personnel out of the mine," says Boliden's communications manager Klas Nilsson to the newspaper.
Several earthquakes have occurred this week, but this one was stronger and was registered at magnitude 2.6.
In March, four people were slightly injured in a collapse at the mine. Operations were suspended, and after the incident Boliden's stock fell 19.9 percent on the stock exchange. The company nevertheless reported an increase in first-quarter profits, although they were worse than analysts had expected.
The mine employs around 500 people and extracts ore containing zinc, lead, silver, copper and gold.
Boliden's shares fell more than 4 percent after news of the earthquake.
