+ "Mondo" can do like Sjöberg

The Swedish-American pole vault star Armand Duplantis dreams of setting a world record at home in Sweden. After improving his stadium record at Bislett in Oslo to 6.15 meters on Thursday, there are hopes that he can take 6.28 meters at Stockholm Stadium on Sunday evening, and set a world record for the twelfth time. "Mondo" will be the first Swede to set a track and field world record in Sweden since Patrik Sjöberg's 2.42 meters in high jump at "Stadion" in 1987.

+ Usain Bolt on site

The greatest star in athletics of all time, the former Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, is in Scandinavia for this week's Diamond League meetings in Oslo and Stockholm. The 38-year-old took several OS and VM gold medals and still holds the world records in 100m (9.58 seconds), 200m (19.19) and 4x100m (36.84, with Nesta Carter, Michael Frater and Yohan Blake).

+ The sneak start: Pole vault in Täby

Stockholm's Diamond League meeting starts early on Saturday with women's pole vault at Täby Square at Täby Center outside Stockholm (from 14:45). At the same time, a qualifying round for men is arranged, where the winner will qualify for the meeting at Stockholm Stadium on Sunday.

+ Expected large audience

Last year, 11,650 spectators were present at "Stadion" and this year the organizer hopes for even more. The OS arena from 1912 has a capacity of around 14,000 and the weather is expected to be sunny and pleasant, albeit a bit windy.

+ Can I bring a bag?

The police have not yet announced whether the bag ban is still in effect at the event. The meeting's competition leader Jan Kowalski would rather that the public left their bags at home, however.

You don't need to have it. If you have special reasons, you can. But we don't want unnecessary long queues here so that people risk being late, he said to TT on Friday.

+ Swedish times

Masses of Swedish athletes will compete at "Stadion" on Sunday, in both the pre-meeting (starts at 16) and the main meeting (starts at 17). The biggest blue-and-yellow names to keep an eye on: Vanessa Kamga (discus, from 17.03), Samuel Pihlström (1,500m, 17.06), Engla Nilsson (high jump, 17.14), Armand Duplantis (pole vault, 17.17), Henrik Larsson (200m, 18.13), Maja Åskag (long jump, 18.23), Andreas Kramer (800m, 18.48), Daniel Ståhl (discus, 18.55), Andreas Almgren (5,000m, 19.09), Julia Henriksson (100m, 19.42), Carl Bengtström (400m hurdles, 19.52).
