The proportion of those caught for drunkenness at sea during the Coast Guard's controls continues to decline, shows a compilation from the breathalyzer company Alcosense.

During the summer of 2025, the Coast Guard carried out its largest number of controls ever, 3,320. Of these, 3.31 percent (110) led to reports for drunkenness at sea. Last year, the figure was 3.4 percent and in 2022 it was 4.2 percent that led to reports.

Most reports of drunkenness at sea occurred in July when the most controls also took place.
