The decision was made at an extraordinary annual meeting on Tuesday evening.
"We are given an opportunity that is completely unique," says Rosengård chairman Håkan Wifvesson, according to TV Fotbollskanalen .
FCK's owner Parken Sport & Entertainment is forming a limited company together with Rosengård's major sponsor Danir.
The parties receive 49 percent of the votes in the men's club that plays in Division 1. The remaining 51 percent remain in the association.
We hope that this will lead to increased competition in Swedish football, and that it will lead to success for Swedish football, says chairman Håkan Wifvesson at the annual meeting.
FCK CEO Jacob Lauesen tells TV4 Football Channel:
We see them as a partner club, and we believe we can do great things together. We don't use the word farmer's club, but partner club. I believe we can achieve a lot of things in collaboration.
FCK's purpose with the investment is to develop players, but they also want to see Rosengård climb in the long term.
"Not everyone will like it, but we are here to take the club up the league system. And we are here for something long-term," says Lauesen at the annual meeting.
The Swedish Football Association has the final say before the incorporation can be carried out.
