The deteriorated situation on the labor market in the USA has been in focus in recent months, and the central bank Federal Reserve lowered the interest rate for the first time this year in September.
But the new employment figures from the labor market department, which were to be presented on Friday, are expected to be delayed since the activities at the statistics authority BLS are down due to the shutdown of the government apparatus.
On Thursday, Elizabeth Warren, leading democrat in the senate's banking committee, requested that Trump disclose the statistics as originally planned, since "the numbers are undoubtedly already collected".
Without them, Federal Reserve does not have the complete picture required for the bank to be able to make the interest rate decisions that affect every single family across the country, says Warren.
