The airport had to be closed for several hours last fall after a drone alert. Søren Thomassen of the police said in a press release that it is neither possible to prove nor to rule out that it was a drone.
The decision to close the airspace was based on several visual observations, Copenhagen Airport's communications director, Lise Agerley Kürstein, said in a written statement. The airport had limited technical capabilities to detect drones at the time, she said.
