The reforms were presented by Prime Minister Manuel Marrero in a speech to the National Assembly on Thursday, and, according to the AFP news agency, involve liberalizing the economy of the communist-ruled country.
Sectors affected include agriculture, tourism and banking. It was already clear last week that reforms were underway, including increased room for manoeuvre for small businesses.
The United States and President Donald Trump have put Cuba under heavy pressure over the past year, and have, among other things, established a blockade on oil deliveries to the country.
