"It's an absolute disaster. The EHF is like a fast food chain. They don't care about quality, they just want to sell," Sigurdsson said, according to TV2 Denmark.
The background is the tough schedule for the teams in the intermediate round, where the team had a shorter recovery than its semi-final opponent, Germany.
"Anyone who knows anything about sports knows that two more days of recovery in a twelve-day period is a hell of a lot. We played games six and seven within 22 hours. Then they put us on the bus the next morning like frozen chickens to drive us here," said Sigurdsson.
Denmark will face Iceland in the other semi-final.
