Since "A Minecraft movie" has been a success in cinemas in the USA and the UK, a viral trend has spread on Tiktok. In the clips, visitors can be seen screaming and throwing popcorn during certain parts of the film. Some have also sprayed fire extinguishers and brought live animals, such as chickens, into the auditorium.

In Sweden, where the film premiered on April 4, there have been screams, gaps, and thrown popcorn in cinemas, mainly in metropolitan regions. However, there have been no serious incidents, according to Filmstaden.

We have intervened and taken measures, such as extra guards on site. We talk before the film starts about how to behave, says Irene Hernberg, PR manager at Filmstaden, to Expressen.

Before the upcoming Easter holidays, cinemas around the country have also brought in extra guards.

Safety is extremely important to us, if there is any risk to our visitors or staff, we take action. In the worst case, we call the police if something happens, says Irene Hernberg.
