Chopchop signs collective bargaining agreement covering over 1,000 restaurant employees in Sweden

According to the newspaper, the collective agreement covers 45 restaurants across Sweden and will take effect at the end of the month. Among other things, the staff will receive regulated salary increases, a contractual pension and insurance through their employment.

This feels great, Peggy Nyholm, contract secretary at the Hotel and Restaurant Union, says to the newspaper.

Now we will also appoint safety representatives and begin building up systematic work environment measures at every workplace to ensure that no one is injured in the future.

In previous audits, serious work environment deficiencies and incidents at Chopchop have been reported.
