She believes that all four Tidö parties in the same government would mean "the weakest prime minister in Swedish history."

Jimmie Åkesson and Ulf Kristersson themselves say that the largest party should have the most say in such a government, and that is not the prime minister.

Andersson believes this is an unstable arrangement and is doubtful whether it will last for more than four years.

It only lasts until the day Jimmie Åkesson decides it's time for him to become prime minister.

“April Fool's Day”

The S leader also claims that the problems that have existed during this term of office will worsen.

There are many areas where we have not seen necessary reforms during these years, and we still have no answer today as to whether the Tidö parties have any plans for them, she says, mentioning schools, healthcare, elderly care and unemployment.

There are many policies that we disagree on. But we agree that going to the polls is about wanting power.

Green Party spokesman Daniel Helldén writes in a comment on M's announcement that it "resembles an April Fool's joke". He writes that Sweden needs a government that "strengthens welfare, lowers emissions and increases equality", not one that "sets people against each other".

Center leader Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist writes in a comment that the Moderates have "left liberalism behind" with the announcement.

"That direction risks hampering jobs, weakening cohesion and slowing down climate work," she writes and continues:

"In a serious security situation, leadership is needed that unites the country, not one that gives fringe parties decisive influence."

“An old Nazi party”

The Left Party's party secretary Maria Forsberg describes the SD as "an old Nazi party" in a comment, reports TV4 Nyheterna.

"A government that combines the racism of the Sweden Democrats and the Moderates' policies for the rich would continue to divide people, single out hard-working people as scapegoats, and give the green light to the rich to line their pockets at the expense of ordinary people," she writes.
