He adds that he takes the numbers with a pinch of salt, as it is a survey.
But we have had a great election campaign with a focus on jobs and a government in the middle. There are many indications that Tidö will fall and I think that is good for Sweden, he says.
The party has talked throughout the election campaign about pursuing a centre-right government with Magdalena Andersson (S) as prime minister. A red line has been the Left Party as a government partner.
It is too early to say either way, but the important thing for us is that the centre is strong, says Martin Ådahl, economic policy spokesperson for C.
Party leader Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist said earlier in the evening that she had a good feeling when she arrived at the party's election vigil near Sergels Torg in central Stockholm:
I hope that this election for a centre-right government, for a centre-right alternative, will become reality.
Ten months
What does it take for you to be satisfied?
If we beat the previous election result, I will be satisfied, considering that it has been ten months since I was elected party leader. In a short time, the movement has been formed, we have got an election campaign in place and we have got the feeling that people find it easy to work in an election campaign, says Thand Ringqvist.
The party's former party leader, Maud Olofsson, is present at the election vigil.
"I think Elisabeth has had a fantastic election campaign," she says.
Greater self-confidence
According to Olofsson, C has much greater self-confidence than in the last election.
"You dare to take up the debate," she says.
Birgitta Ohlsson, a former Liberal Party figure and now a parliamentary candidate for C, is expecting a nervous evening.
"Realistically, I think it will go very well for the Centre Party, but also for the Green Party. I think green parties with slightly different starting points are well placed," she says.
Ohlsson says she still "loves the People's Party", as the Liberals were previously called.
But I love my liberal ideals more. The party has made one choice and I have made another. The collaboration with right-wing populists, the Sweden Democrats, was something I could never accept.
The Centre Party received 6.7 percent in the 2022 election.
