The military juntas that have taken power in the countries in different coups between 2020 and 2023 have allied themselves with each other and distanced themselves from the Western world, and above all from the former colonial power France.
In a joint statement, they accuse the Hague-based ICC of being a "tool for neocolonial oppression".
"The ICC has shown itself unable to act and bring charges in cases of proven war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide and crimes of aggression", they write.
A state's withdrawal from the ICC comes into force only one year after the request has been submitted.
The three countries are plagued by violent uprisings from jihadist groups with links to al-Qaida and IS. But their militaries have also been accused of crimes against civilians.
